Full Description: This is a skill course designed to produce student proficiency in the performance of the duties associated with Engine Boss, Single Resource (ENGB). Topics include engine and crew capabilities and limitations, information sources, fire size up considerations, tactics, and wildland urban interface.

Objective

• Perform the tasks of an Engine Boss in making the tactical decisions required to safely manage an engine on an incident.

Prerequisites: Qualified Firefighter Type 1 (FFT1)
Successful completion of S-230 Crew Boss

Reporting Instructions: Class times: 0800-1700 every day (unless otherwise specified by the instructor)

Please report to Check-In before your first class begins. Check-in opens at 0630 each morning. Students only need to check in once, even when registered for more than one class.
